Welcome to MOTIV – Modelling Of Train Induced Vibration

MOTIV is ultimately aimed at providing state of the art models for the prediction of railway induced ground-borne vibration and noise and their effect on buildings in close proximity.

MOTIV models are important for understanding the physics of ground-borne N&V generation and propagation and for identifying ways to tackle unacceptable levels of vibration from existing as well as future railway lines.
